What MBTI Types Are Kagome and Kikyo? – From a Longtime Inuyasha Enamel Pin Collector
Share
As someone who has collected Inuyasha enamel pins for years, I’ve always been drawn to one character more than the other.
I’m personally a Kikyo fan.
And over time, I noticed something interesting.
Most Kikyo enamel pins tend to have softer tones — muted purples, whites, calm compositions. Nothing too loud. Nothing overly dramatic.
Meanwhile, Kagome enamel pins often feature brighter colors, dynamic poses, and more expressive designs. In fact, Kagome designs are generally more varied in the enamel pin market.
That contrast made me think.
Maybe the character we prefer says something about our personality too?
So here’s my MBTI take — just for fun — as a longtime Inuyasha fan and enamel pin collector.
🌿 Kikyo – INTJ
To me, Kikyo feels very much like an INTJ.
As the village priestess, she carried immense responsibility. Her life revolved around protecting the Shikon Jewel. Duty came before everything.
Even when she fell in love with Inuyasha, her rational mind often overpowered her emotions. She was controlled. Reserved. Quiet.
Unlike Kagome’s warmth and openness, Kikyo is introspective and restrained. She rarely shows vulnerability. Even her love feels calm, almost distant.
And in the end, her fate was defined by responsibility.
That quiet strength, emotional control, and strategic thinking? Very INTJ energy.

🌸 Kagome – ENTJ or ENFJ?
Kagome feels completely different.
She’s a modern high school girl thrown into the Sengoku era — and somehow adapts with surprising strength.
To me, she gives off ENTJ or ENFJ vibes.
She’s emotionally expressive, brave in love, and never afraid to show what she feels. She laughs loudly. She cries openly. She says what’s on her mind.
But she’s also incredibly emotionally intelligent.
Kagome understands others deeply. She supports, motivates, and protects the group. She connects people.
She’s not emotionally restrained like Kikyo — she’s driven by emotion. And that’s her strength.
She feels real. Like the kind of friend you’d actually have in your life.

What Your Favorite Might Say About You
Sometimes I wonder:
Do we prefer a character because they reflect who we are?
Or because they represent who we want to become?
From a Collector’s Perspective
As an Inuyasha enamel pin collector, I’ve also noticed how their personalities influence design styles.
Kikyo pins often feel elegant and minimal.
Kagome pins feel energetic and expressive.
