The Band of Seven in Inuyasha — A inuyasha pins Collector’s Personal Take
When it comes to anime villains, the Band of Seven from Inuyasha has always felt a little different to me.
They’re not demons.Almost every Inuyasha fan I know can point to one member of the Band of Seven they’re especially drawn to. Each character has a very distinct personality, and none of them feel disposable.
A Few Personal Thoughts on the Band of Seven
Bankotsu, the leader, is without question the most popular member.
Even though he’s the youngest, he represents something very traditional and very Japanese to me — a kind of raw, unpolished samurai pride.

Suikotsu is another character that really stands out.
His dual personality — a gentle doctor on one side and a ruthless killer on the other — makes him one of the most tragic figures in the group.
Then there’s Renkotsu, the strategist.
Intelligent, calculating, but deeply insecure. His jealousy and inferiority complex ultimately lead him to betray Bankotsu, and his ending is especially brutal. To me, he feels painfully human — smart, capable, but constantly aware of being “second best.”
Jakotsu is fun, dramatic, and visually unforgettable.
But personally, I see Jakotsu as someone driven almost entirely by love — fiercely loyal to Bankotsu to the point of obsession.
Each member of the Band of Seven brings something different to the table, which is why they work so well as a group — and why they’re such a strong subject for collectible inuyasha enamel pins.
