If someone asks me who my ultimate “male god” is, my answer is always the same: Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII.

Silver hair, a cold and calm personality, and overwhelming battle strength — Sephiroth constantly radiates a powerful, almost dangerous kind of masculine charm. He’s not loud, not flashy, but every time he appears, you feel his presence. That’s what makes him unforgettable.

For me, the biggest tragedy in Sephiroth’s story is identity.
I don’t believe he truly wanted to destroy the world. What he couldn’t accept was the truth of his own existence — realizing that he was created as an experiment rather than born by choice. That kind of identity collapse can feel devastating, especially for someone with extreme pride and self-respect. In a way, his actions feel like a form of self-destruction rather than pure evil — and honestly, that psychology is surprisingly common in highly confident, high-achievement men.
